TITLE:                        Fixed Asset Accountant

MAIN FUNCTION:    The Fixed Asset accountant is primarily responsible for the preparation of federal and state compliance work for fixed assets


  • Recording fixed asset acquisitions and dispositions
  • Tracking existing fixed assets
  • Compile project costs for construction, furniture, and service equipment for ongoing projects and adding to the fixed asset software upon completion
  • Reconcile the balance in the accounting general ledger to the fixed asset reports
  • Investigate the potential obsolescence of fixed assets
  • Responsible for sending out monthly reports for month end close to the dealerships
  • Review amounts capitalized or expensed as fixed assets adhering to the company capitalization policy
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects related to fixed assets that may have a financial impact to the company
  • Provide dealerships with schedules for the property tax returns
  • Assist office managers with any questions they may have
  • Perform other related duties, tasks, and responsibilities as required, assigned or directed


  • 2 Years accounting experience
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Self-motivated, with ability to work independently to complete prescribed duties and assignments
  • Exhibit strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task and manage shifting priorities when necessary
  • Proficient computer skills #cb
