The Regional IT Coordinator is an extension of the corporate office, however the position will

be field based. Within specific geographies, a Regional IT Coordinator will be assigned to a cluster of dealerships to manage. The position will have oversight responsibilities for the technologies in the assigned stores, and work when needed with other team members and vendors to resolve critical IT incidents. The Regional IT Coordinators serve as a liaison between dealership sites and the Corporate IT Department on projects and other activities.


Travel time will be approximately 25% to support dealerships outside of primary support location. Also, occasional travel will be required to provide assistance with projects in other geographical areas not under principal responsibility of Regional IT Coordinator. Must be able and willing to travel on short notice.

Job Responsibilities

  • Participate in project specific tasks that impact the dealership body that they manage.
  • Manage the computer room and on-premise technology in assigned dealerships to ensure that they are kept in compliance with policies. Computer room management includes proper cable management, security, labeling and proper installation of all equipment, cleanliness, proper fire stoppage, and environmental control.
  • Act as an escalation point for troubleshooting and other issues. Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions. Track and monitor incidents using Zendesk.
  • Provide assistance and guidance to dealership personnel on technology. Opportunities include comprehending dealership personnel technology requirements and making appropriate recommendations/briefings.  Act as a conduit for relaying of information from the dealership to the Corporate IT department.
  • Instruct dealership personnel on usage of various hardware and software platforms and work to insure dealership personnel follow correct policies and procedures for usage.
  • In concert with Project Management, be the onsite presence to coordinate IMACs (Installation/Moves/Adds/Changes) of PCs.  Verify that hardware and required software is installed in accordance with IT Department policies.  Insure all software that is required for user job function is operational on new PC.
  • Coordinate the warranty repair and installation of Printers, AV equipment, Copiers, Cabling, and other hardware with appropriate vendors.
  • Travel to dealerships outside of assigned area when necessary to provide additional support and help with projects.


  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and troubleshooting skills.
  • An ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.
  • Must be capable of working with minimal onsite supervision and have ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Must be capable of communicating and working well with remote co-workers.
  • Exhibit a high level of professionalism when working with people over the phone and in person to create and maintain positive working relationship.
  • Proficiency in network, hardware, and software support.
  • Fluent in products such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Windows and other business applications.
  • Experience using products in the automotive space such as parts cataloging systems, dealer management systems, fixed operations diagnostic systems and variable operations tools desired.
