Job Responsibilities:
Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul vehicles.
Test parts and systems to ensure that they are working properly.
Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately.
Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections.
Inspect and adjust tire pressures, shock absorbers, and other automotive components.
Test and repair brakes, exhaust systems, suspensions, engine components, and other automotive parts.
Repair or replace worn parts, such as brake pads and wheel bearings.
Use diagnostic tools and special service equipment to identify and troubleshoot issues.
Keep records of customer/vehicle service and repair histories.
Explain diagnostic results and proposed repairs to customers.
Stay up to date on factory technical bulletins and attend educational workshops.
Follow manufacturer’s specifications and safety protocols.
Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
Valid Driver's License.
Vocational/Trade School Certificate, High School Diploma, GED.
3-5 years of direct diesel mechanical experience preferred (Chevrolet or similar dealership).
Knowledge of diagnostic tools and repair techniques.
Flexibility to work rotating shifts and Saturdays as needed.
Essential Job Skills:
Ability to use hand tools and power tools with attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a safe manner.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
