Jr. Advertising Manager

Hendrick Automotive Group Charlotte, NC (Onsite) Full-Time

Summary: 

The Jr. Advertising Manager is responsible for supporting the Senior Advertising Management team in the execution of day-to-day advertising strategies. The objective of the SAM Team is to enhance our dealership's position in the consideration set for vehicle sales, vehicle acquisition & service needs, as well as deepen relationships with our existing customer base, and support the acquisition of new customers. It is also the responsibility of the Jr. Advertising Manager to develop a strong understanding of website platforms, reporting disciplines, advertising partners, and support resources used in building and executing marketing strategies across the group, as well as develop a high level understanding of dealership operations.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, though other duties may be added:

  • This role is a teammate in the Hendrick Automotive Group Marketing Department and supports the SAM Team daily.
  • Works alongside SAMs with Hendrick Automotive Group Marketing team, and store leadership to understand the goals and business needs for all assigned dealerships.
  • Assist with compiling weekly operational reporting and communicating out to the Operational Marketing Team
  • Assist with reporting of marketing budgets from an enterprise level and compiling budget reports for the Marketing Leadership Team
  • Advertising mediums that are currently leveraged, which this role may be asked to engage with: traditional media (television, radio, OOH), direct (email and direct mail), digital advertising (SEM, SEO, display, remarketing, video), creative (video, static and audio), social media (paid and organic), reputation management, 3rd party lead providers/classified sites.
  • In addition to understanding website best practices, this role may responsible for occasionally reviewing website performance, merchandising, UX, and overall functionality, as needed, in collaboration with Internal Website Support teammates
  • Responsible for learning compliance to OEM standard and Hendrick Automotive Group brand standards
  • Responsible for learning OEM co-op processes and procedures to maximize available funds and ensure full reimbursement.
  • Responsible for learning basics of dealerships operations
  • On special occasions, there are nonrecurring/one-off projects. If asked, this role will assist the project manager for these, including coordinating presentations, disseminating information, and organizing events.

Proven track record in Automotive/Digital Marketing is a plus. Knowledge of other programs includes Google Analytics, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.    

Certificates and Licenses:

   Valid Driver’s License

o   Automobile Salesperson License

Computer Skills:

Advanced Computer skills in Microsoft Office products.  Strong knowledge of various social media tools including Facebook, Twitter, etc and various third party applications used by dealerships.

Communication Skills:

Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.

Attendance Expectations:

The position requires regular and predictable attendance.  Scheduled shifts may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and sit; use hands to finger, handle, and feel.

Environment Demands:

Duties are performed primarily at a desk in an office environment but will also be required to work throughout the facility.  Work includes frequent clerical and administrative assignments and interaction with office, employees, and company personnel.

Verbal and Writing Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, small and large group situations to customers and other employees.

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret and analyze marketing data, reports, and spreadsheets.
