Summary:

The Video and Content Production Manager is responsible for capturing and editing content for use in online communications while adhering to the development of Hendrick Automotive Group’s brand creative look and feel for marketing deliverables.

The ideal candidate is team-oriented, a tech savvy storyteller, a video creator to champion and execute our video marketing strategy and always thinking of new ways to tell our stories using the latest in video technologies and leveraging all available tools.

This role requires experience handling all aspects of video production, including producing, editing, shooting and motion graphics along with occasional photography.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties can be assigned.

  • Report to Director of Advertising and work hand-in-hand with content team on storylines and campaign priorities
  • Produce animated and video content for social media platforms, websites, and various marketing campaigns, including long-form videos, short social clips, gifs, informational graphics, animations, and overall visual content to support various campaigns
  • Develop fresh and engaging content to support a variety of initiatives
  • Ensure that videos and content tell an impactful story, look professional, and that they accurately present our products and services while aligning with brand guidelines
  • Foster strong relationships with the corporate personnel and key dealership stakeholders
  • Collaborate with social strategists to find creative ways of building an online presence
  • Manage video production for shoots, including camera composition, audio, and lighting when needed
  • Conceptualization, write, storyboarding where necessary
  • Be responsible for media management, editing, color correction, image adjustment, and final file preparation and delivery to multiple channels as needed
  • Assist in casting of talent for video shoots where necessary
  • Work with third party vendors where required for video production
  • Stay up to date on evolving technologies, trends, new processes within video production field
  • Research potential effectiveness of new equipment or software in relation to its benefit for the department
  • Support and follow brand standards
  • Travel required as needed to support dealership operations and its social media channels

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in film, photography, digital media, or related field preferred
  • 5 – 7 years of experience as a video producer, editor and creator working in a fast-paced environment with a history of sports and general creative marketing campaigns
  • Superior camera skills with creative eye and working knowledge of various types of cameras
  • Proficient with the Adobe Creative Cloud suite in addition to color correction and sound design
  • Deep understanding of top social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram and TikTok and how to optimize content on those specific mediums
  • Must be creative, resourceful, shoot & edit independently with a positive can-do approach to work
  • Exceptional attention to detail, superb prioritization and organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to make quick decisions
  • Highly motivated and collaborative with a willingness to learn/adapt to the needs of automotive retail
  • Ability to think both creatively and strategically
  • Strong work ethic, meets deadlines and shift deliverables as needed
  • Fun, friendly, positive team player who is open to receiving and executing feedback

Verbal and Writing Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees. Should have strong group presentation skills and excellent written communication skills. Ability to read and interpret documents such as invoices, RFPs, and procedure manuals. 

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. The ability to research, analyze, and matrix different business and demographic data types. 

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk, and sit.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.

Certificates and Licenses:  Valid Driver's License

Environment Demands: Duties are performed primarily in the office, but frequent travel to dealership locations is required.
