Engine Program Support Coordinator
HMS Engine Program Support Coordinator
Hendrick Motorsports, a leader in the NASCAR series, is seeking a professional and highly motivated Engine Program Support Coordinator. The successful candidate will utilize their background in administrative or business organization to provide administrative support to the Engine shop and management. In this role, you will support the day-to-day operations, schedule meetings, act as the first point of contact, and ensure that all. The position requires strong communication with colleagues at all levels inside and outside the organization, the ability to work in a fast-paced and innovative environment, and the ability to multi-task.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Prioritizes and manages multiple projects simultaneously and follows through on issues in a timely manner.
- Coordinates travel arrangements and creates itineraries for the Road Crew and other traveling team members as needed.
- Works closely with Managers to coordinate hard copy and email communications as needed.
- Responsible for assisting Managers and Supervisors in all clerical and administrative functions.
- Manages and maintains executive schedules as needed.
- Manages and organizes credit card receipts for approval.
- Manages, orders, and maintains team apparel.
- Responsible for proficiency in organization Human Resource Information/ Time Keeping system to support personnel and payroll functions.
- Must maintain a discretion when confronted with confidential information.
- Effectively operates the switchboard and greets visitors politely.
- Assists with maintaining records, including filing.
- Completes area documents relating to internal issues as requested.
- Arranges departmental activities including training, employee events, travel and meetings as needed.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
- Knowledge of professional office practices
- Knowledge of general office equipment, including copier and fax machines
- Ability to interact with all levels of the organization in a face paced environment while working under pressure.
- Must be exceedingly well organized, flexible, and capable of supporting multiple teams and/or departments
- Ability to exercise considerable independent judgement and discretion
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Ability to maintain and retrieve moderately complex office files and records
- Expert attention to detail and strong decision making skills
- Ability to prepare accurate reports and correspondence
- Ability to understand and carry out moderately complex oral and written instructions, prioritize work and meet time restraints
- Ability to exercise initiative and resourcefulness in meeting new problems
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
SKILLS AND ABILTIES:
- Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree Required
- Experience: 3 plus years of applicable experience
- Computer Skills: Moderate Microsoft Office Skills
