Claims Processor

Hendrick Automotive Group Charlotte, NC (Onsite) Full-Time
Hendrick Automotive Group - HIC Location: 6030 East Independence Blvd, Charlotte, North Carolina 28212


Summary:   Responsible for paying claims after matching repair order, rental car receipts, and sublet invoices from repairing facility to the authorized amount of the Autoguard claim; includes resolving discrepancies between repair orders and approved claim amount. Also responsible for weekly claims reconciliation and related payment and general ledger posting. 

Supervisory Responsibilities:  This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Obtain and review repair order, rental car, and sublet invoices.
  • Maintain documentation of claims for potential audit purposes.
  • Match claim repair documentation to authorized claim amount.
  • Contact non-HAG repair facilities to initiate claim payments.
  • Reconcile ACH web-site amounts to authorized repair amounts.
  • Submit weekly ACH payment and post related general ledger entries.
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties and special projects as needed.

Prior work experience in accounts payable/receivable and general ledger debit and credit accounting.

Education/Experience:

Associate’s degree; or up to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior office management experience preferred. Good organizational skills and able to work with minimal supervision.  Broad knowledge of various agreement offerings and a basic understanding of procedures.

Certificates and Licenses:

CSIA/CCSM Certifications

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge and proficiency in MS Office, specifically MS Excel.

Communication Skills:

Ability to understand and follow

instructions. Ability to

communicate effectively with

customers and company

personnel.

Attendance Expectations:

The position requires regular and predictable attendance.  Hours may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays to meet required deadlines.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and sit. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.

Environment Demands:

Duties are performed primarily an office environment at the management office.  Position requires frequent interaction with Management Office employees, dealership management and dealership employees.

Verbal and Writing Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to compose correspondence.

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to prioritize in order to assist several managers and work with deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and efficiently.
